Hobart Art Gallery

The Hobart Art Gallery (HAG) was founded by Tasmanian artist, Phillip McKay and is located in the Hotel Grand Chancellor, Hobart, overlooking the Derwent River, Constitution Dock and Salamanca. The gallery showcases established artists as well as providing opportunities for talented young art school graduates and emerging artists, offering our customers excellent investment opportunities.

The gallery also encourages exhibition themes that tackle social justice and environmental issues.

The HAG also offers a variety of arts education options including Paint ‘n' Sip, individual and group art classes. These classes can be booked through the HAG website under the Phillip McKay School of Art link.
